Loads of new series premieres tonight, plus good ole NCIS back for another season of fun. We also get the season finale for Warehouse 13. I still haven’t gotten into the groove of writing episode summaries, so I’m going to stick all shows into single posts. If I can get up the energy (or overcome my inherent laziness, take your pick) I’ll get some summaries into the comments and we’ll go from there.

Summary material comes from the TiVo program guide unless otherwise noted.

The third epiosode of 90210’s second season is entitled “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat”:

Harry shares his family problems with Kelly; sparks fly when Dixon meets his dream girl; Liam works on a mysterious project; the gang spends an afternoon with Teddy on his father’s yacht.

The seventh season of NCIS picks up where it left off with Ziva captured in an episode entitled “Truth or Consequences”:

With the weight of the past on their minds, Gibbs and the team go back to work, with DiNozzo and McGee beginning to search for Ziva’s replacement.

And the NCIS action continues with its new spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles, offering the debut episode “Identity”:

Four months after being shot, Agent Callen returns to the Office of Special Projects and joins the Los Angeles team on a kidnapping case.

Melrose Place’s third episode is entitled “Grand”:

After a fight with Jonah, Riley turns to Auggie for comfort; Caleb is furious with Ella when her director bails on a job; David makes an accusation; Violet makes moves on Auggie.

Warehouse 13 closes out its freshman season with an episode entitled “MacPherson”. Last week we learned it’s Warehouse 13 because it’s the thirteenth try, sort of like the Babylon 5 numbering backstory.

The team discovers that MacPherson is auctioning artifacts he has siphoned from the Warehouse shelves.

The Bruckheimer procedural factory cranks out the annoyingly e.e.cummings’ named the forgotten which returns Christian Slater to TV after last year’s failed My Own Worst Enemy:

Alex Donovan leads the Forgotten Network, diverse civilians, to identify “Highway Jane,” a young victim whose corpse was left in the woods.

Another failed show, another new show for the lead, last year’s Canerbury’s Law star Julianna Margulies returns in The Good Wife:

Humiliated by her politician husband’s scandal, Alicia Florrick musters her resilience and returns to work as a defense attorney, getting the case of a woman accused of murdering her ex-husband.

So we’re pretty jam-packed, not as full as last night, but looking good!

At least my fears of a boob-free cast were squashed thanks to Jessica Lucas, but ole Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, don’t know if I’ll be able to take looking at her much less listening to her, man is she horrible. And of course we have to deal with mole-face, who someone would pay to fuck? Fuck no! But all that matter is that wretched cunt Sydney is dead, dead, dead. The second episode of this inaugural season, entitled “Nightingale”, has the following TiVo description:

Ella learns that her job could be in jeopardy unless she brings in a big client; Lauren goes on another date in exchange for money; Auggie remembers the first time he met Sydney.

No teens is always good news, let’s see how The CW handles being out of their wheelhouse.

Melrose Place, the cheesy spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210, receives the “reboot” treatment from The CW tonight. The original show, which I documented in a weekly column “Mental Place”, started as a struggling twentysomething drama before devolving into an evil and soapish morass in its second season. It went on to be a relative hit for FOX but a cast change a few years in spun it out of control.

The inaugural episode of the series reboot has the following TiVo description:

Violet Foster, the newest tenant of an apartment complex in Los Angeles, discovers a bloody corps in the courtyard pool.

And who might that corpse be? To avoid main page spoilers for those who avoid the entertainment media, I’ll put it after the break…It’s that hideous cunt Sydney. Of fuck me jebus, I’ve waited more than a decade for this! Man did I hate that character, and not just because it made no sense that anyone would be physically attracted to that heinous picket-fence-toothed twelve-year-old-boy-body-sporting actress. No, from her first “innocent” appearance she might as well have had “Annoying” written on her forehead. So what we have here is a supposed year-long “mystery” that unfortunately will have Sydny appearing in flashbacks, but I can just use those moments to re-relish her demise.

I’m worried about the show because of the casting. They have that chick from Battlestar Galactica: Razor and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Stephanie Jacobsen, who has a hideous mole-covered face. In standard definition on Razor it wasn’t so bad, but some shots on TTSCC, I had to look away. What’s with all the bad skin? It’s not like she has any boobs or a body to offset the heinous growths sprouting off her face. I thought The CW was all about the hot chicks. Without boobs of course, boobs seem to be a no-no in Hollywood in general, but the CW seems to like ‘em flat as a board. There certainly is no one worthy of Courtney Thorne-Smith in the face or body department.

I’ll save the rest of the ranting for after the show airs. Everyone else?
